NEW FEMALE DOCTORS JOIN OUR TEAM

Dr Seham Ayad - full days on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, a very experienced GP working towards vocational registration in both Accident & Medical Practice and General Practice

Dr Rachel Dallimore -full-time on a two year contract from the UK and considering a permanent move to New Zealand. She has replaced Dr Nerys Davies who has return to the UK on completion of her one year contract.

Dr Michelle Higgs-a British doctor who is applying for permanent residency in New Zealand started in November in a full-time position replacing Dr Katharine Taylor who has returned to the hospital system to specialise in anaesthetics.

We have become a beta test site for a number of on-line services delivered through the Manage My Health Portal from Medtech Global, who supply Practice Management Software to most New Zealand GP's.

PHO CHANGE

Waitemata DHB has reduced the number of PHO's in the Waitemata District from six to two and as a result, HealthWest has ceased to be a PHO from 30 June 2011 and from 01 July 2011 we have become part of ProCare PHO. All patient services provided by HealthWest PHO will continue to be provided by ProCare. With time there may be some changes with respect to the services offered and we are confident that this will result in an enhanced range of services.
