Dr Jin Gao – MBChB (Auck) FRNZCGP
Jin was born in Chengdu, China and moved to New Zealand in 1997 with her family. She went to school in the North Shore and graduated from the University of Auckland.
With General Practice in mind, Jin has worked for a range of hospital specialties including Starship emergency, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, older people’s health, general surgery and general medicine. Jin was awarded her Fellowship by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practice in 2018 and currently working towards obtaining her Fellowship of the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care.
Jin is interested in all aspects of general practice, in particular, women’s health and performing minor skin procedures as well as sports and other injuries.
She has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Sciences with a focus on obstetrics and medical gynaecology.
Outside of work, Jin enjoys keeping active with aerobics classes and Bikram yoga. She is also experimenting with water colour painting and considers herself a keen foodie.
