Dr Isabelle Duck – FRNZCGP, FRNZCUC, PGCertMedSc, MBBS, MA(Oxon)
Isabelle studied for her medical degree at both Oxford University and King’s College London. She qualified as a doctor in England in 2008 and moved to New Zealand in 2010. She started working at Westgate in 2014. As a medical student her elective training was spent in South Africa where she worked in Emergency Departments and ran clinics in the deprived township areas. She has worked in both General Practice and Urgent Care clinics since settling in New Zealand and is a fellow of both the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care and the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
Her main interests are all aspects of General Medicine and Urgent Care, e.g. women’s health, child & adolescent health, musculoskeletal medicine, sport & other injuries.
Outside of work, she is a keen long distance runner having completed three marathons, and enjoys travelling overseas. She can speak French to an intermediate level. More recently she has contributed to the local publications ‘The Hobsonville Flyer’ and ‘The Westerly’.
Isabelle is on maternity leave until April 2018.
